Craig Guyton,
Mayor of Euharlee
Mayor Guyton graduated from Cartersville High School in 1990. Following graduation, he attended Georgia Tech and Kennesaw State University. He attends Cartersville First Baptist where he sings on the praise team and in the choir. He also serves his church through his work as a Deacon and a Sunday School teacher. He and his wife, Donna, both participate in the Marriage and More ministry.
Craig married Donna in 1993. They have two children: a daughter, Bailey (25), who graduated from Kennesaw State University and currently works as an Accountant, and a son, Griffin (21), who is a Senior at Middle Georgia State University studying Aviation.
Mayor Guyton was elected to the position of Mayor in November of 2021, with his term beginning in January of 2022.

Tim Abbott
Tim Abbott has over 30 years of expertise with marketing program innovation, consumer engagement, strategic design and implementation with corporate organizations such as Kaiser Permanente Health Care, Marriott Hotels, and Red Lobster. He served as a U.S. Navy Journalist from 1982-1987. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Communication from Kennesaw State University. He and his wife Lisa have four children, Chandler, Sam, Hannah, and Emily. Tim's passion is community engagement and servant-leadership supporting community outreach and ministry for Crosspoint City Church, Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter, and Cartersville-Bartow Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program.
Tim has been a City Council Member since January 2019.

Jayson Frederick
Jayson Frederick, a proud native of Bartow County, has deep roots in the community. Grounded in his Christian faith, he is not only a devoted father to three wonderful kids but also a passionate local small business owner. Jayson actively contributes to the growth and vitality of Cartersville as a dedicated board member on the Cartersville Downtown Development Authority.
His commitment to nurturing future leaders is evident through his role as a committee member on Youth Leadership Bartow. Beyond business and leadership, Jayson extends his impact by supporting various local nonprofits, embodying a spirit of community engagement and philanthropy.
He was elected to the City Council in November 2023 and took office in January 2024.

Greg Free
A graduate of Cass High School and lifelong resident of Euharlee, Greg served in the United States Navy after high school. He followed his lifelong passion and calling to serve others, graduating from Gupton Jones College of Funeral Service with a degree in Mortuary Science. Greg is a licensed funeral director/embalmer in the State of Georgia. He currently serves as General Manager of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery, as well as a Team Member with Kenyon International specializing in mass fatality/disaster incident response.
Greg is married to Kim Marcus Free and they have 3 daughters. The Free family are members of LifePoint Church in Cartersville where Greg serves on the Host Team and Security Team. Greg is a graduate of Leadership Bartow and has served on the committee for adult Leadership Bartow with the Cartersville-Bartow Chamber of Commerce. Greg has shown a commitment to serve the community through being a Board Member of the Etowah Foundation, serving as development committee chairman as well as volunteering with many non profits in the Bartow County Community. He is also a proud past master of Acworth Lodge #176 F&AM and a member of Euharlee Lodge #457 F&AM.
Greg has been on the City Council since November 2020.

Joe Turner
After graduating from Sequatchie High School in Dunlap, Tennessee, Joe began his career in 1969 with the Cobb County Fire Department as a firefighter. He worked his entire career with the Cobb County FD and retired after 30 years of service in 1999.
After moving to Euharlee in 1983, Joe soon began serving on the City Council. He is our longest serving councilman, having been on the Council since 1988. Joe’s interest in serving on the City Council is to protect the past and control the future.
He is the previous owner of the famous JoJo's Market, which is still in operation today.
In his spare time, Joe loves to hunt and fish. He has won multiple bass fishing tournaments and enjoys his annual hunting trips in South Georgia and Alabama.
How Can We Help?
The City Council is the policy making body of the City of Euharlee. City Council members serve for four (4) year staggered terms. The City Council approves the annual budget, all ordinances, resolutions and contracts in public meetings. The City Council is presided over by the Mayor and meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month at City Hall at 7pm. The public is welcome to attend these meetings.
The Council also holds a work session prior to the business meeting starting at 6pm. The agenda and subsequent minutes of both public meetings and work sessions for the current and previous years are available below. For records prior to this date range, please contact City Hall.
