Lewis Wilkie,
Code Enforcement Officer


Lewis Wilkie started his part time Code Enforcement position with the City of Euharlee in June 2022.  Lewis enlisted in the United States Army after high school where he served eight years as a Military Policeman.  Lewis participated in deployments to Panama, Macedonia, and Bosnia.

In 2004 Lewis moved to Georgia from Louisiana.  He joined the Georgia Tech Police Department where he started as a police officer and eventually promoted to Sergeant.

In 2008 Lewis joined the Powder Springs Police Department.  Lewis spent 13 years with Powder Springs where he served in multiple capacities to include Patrol Officer, Code Enforcement Officer, Patrol Sergeant, Patrol Lieutenant, Office of Professional Standards Lieutenant, and Patrol Division Commander. 

Lewis and Aimee have been married for 32 years. They have two daughters, Madison and Julia.

How Can We Help?

The responsibilities of the Code Enforcement Office are most importantly to support the quality of life for Euharlee’s residents by enforcing compliance of the city’s building codes and ordinances.

Code Enforcement patrols, inspects, and conducts field investigations to determine compliance of properties with city codes and issue notices of violation or citations for non-compliance. If a problem occurs, this office will meet with owners, tenants, and developers to review and explain code requirements.

They are tasked with responding to complaints and coordinating with city staff, agencies, and municipal court.
