The City Council
The City Council is the policy making body of the City of Euharlee. City
Council members serve for four (4) year staggered terms. The City Council
approves the annual budget, all ordinances, resolutions and contracts in public
meetings. The City Council is presided over by the Mayor and meets the 1st
Tuesday of the month at City Hall. The public is welcome to attend these
The Council also holds a work session on the 3rd Tuesday each month.

David Duncan, Councilman
David Duncan was born and raised in Atlanta where he graduated from O'Keefe High School in 1967. He entered the Atlanta Police Academy on September 11, 1973 and graduated in January 1974 where he began his career in Law Enforcement. He retired from the Euharlee Police Department in December 2014 after serving fourteen years, ending forty-one years in Law Enforcement.
He married Rene' in 1993 and they moved to Euharlee in 1999. After moving to Euharlee, he became involved in the community through the Covered Bridge Players which coordinated the Covered Bridge Festival, the Festival of Trees, the annual Euharlee Easter Egg Hunt and assisting families in need. He is also involved with the Euharlee Veterans POW WOW.
David is actively involved in Floyd Creek Baptist Church. He enjoys spending time with his children, grand-children, and great grand-children. His ideal way to relax is through hunting and fishing.
He was elected to the City Council in November 2015 and took office in January 2016.
Craig Guyton, Councilman
Craig was born and raised in Bartow County. He graduated from Cartersville High
School in 1990. Following high school, he attended Georgia Tech and Kennesaw
Craig and his wife Donna have been married for 20 years and have lived in
Euharlee for 14 years. They have two children: Bailey and Griffin.
He has been employed with Sandy Plains Printing in Marietta, Georgia for 17
years. He serves at Cartersville First Baptist Church as a Deacon, Choir Member
and Praise Team member. He loves all sports and particularly enjoys hunting,
fishing and kayaking.
He has been a City Council Member since January 2012.
Ron Nesbitt, Councilman
Ronald Nesbitt was born and raised in Cartersville. He graduated from Cass High
School. Following high school he attended North Metro Tech and Georgia Highlands
College, majoring in Business Administration/Management.
His work history includes leadership at Shaw Industries, and he is a current
business owner at Little Lambs Learning Center.
Ronald and his wife Patricia of 30 years have four children and have lived in Euharlee for many
