State Championship BBQ Competition - June
Mark your calendars for the 2016 Euharlee Covered Bridge 'Que on June 4 from 10 am until 5 pm.
See Bartow County's only Pro
Barbecue cooking competition and enjoy live entertainment. We expect to feature judged car, truck and
motorcycle show once again plus children's activities, yummy festival food and
unique arts and crafts. And of course you won't want to miss the popular
People's Choice sampling tent, where you can taste competition-grade BBQ
prepared by over 30 of the best pitmasters in the State of Georgia!
Covered Bridge 'Que will be sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque
Society, the world's largest competition cooking organization. This State
Championship event will also be a qualifier for the Georgia BBQ Championship and
the Jack Daniels World Championship Invitational. Teams from all across the
state will bring their competition smoking rigs to Frankie Harris Park to battle
for points, bragging rights and a share of the $8,000 prize purse.
Returning this year is the "Old School Challenge", for teams willing work
on the ground out in the open where spectators can watch them to prep and cook
without the benefits of fancy air conditioned mobile kitchens. The teams that
accept the challenge of cooking "backyard style" will be elligible for
additional cash prizes compliments of
Johnny Mitchell's Smokehouse.
See the cooks you've watched on TV work their magic with spice and smoke live in
person, grab something to eat from one of the festival vendors and enjoy our
free entertainment. It's fun for the whole family in the heart of historic
Euharlee, the Covered Bridge City.
